following figures:
G2 Optimus Prime
Bluestreak
Prowl
Hot Rod
G2 Megatron (Purple Tank)
Starscream
Skywarp
Hound
G2 Optimus Prime: Having suffered extensive damage during his battle against
Megatron in sector 17 of the Mirtonian constellation, Optimus required a
massive overhaul of structural integrity and logistical circuitry
processors: this procedure resulted in a sleeker, stronger, more
combat-ready version of Optimus Prime with a new arsenal of weaponry. In the
Gen 2 continuity, Optimus Prime was alerted to the discovery of a new
energy-imbuing substance, Forestonite, on Earth. Prime mobilized in an
attempt to prevent Megatron and his Cyberjets from stockpiling and
exploiting the new substance.
Bluestreak: Bluestreak’s color scheme is primarily composed of silver, black
and red. Loquacious and good-natured, Bluestreak is outfitted with
formidable weapons which contrast against his distaste for battle.
Bluestreak was among the original crew members of the Ark. He deploys bombs
for a maximum distance 8.3 mile, and fires a lightning-like 80,000 volt beam
to a maximum distance of 12 miles with limited accuracy.
Prowl: Prowl is colored in white, blue, black and red. Due to his
sophisticated logic center, Prowl serves as the Autobots’ military
strategist. Prowl is capable of analyzing combat situations and
instantaneously generating strategic resolutions. He fires wide-guided
missiles and corrosive acid pellets. The unexpected can often scramble his
circuits. In Transformers: The Movie, Prowl was joined by Brawn, Ratchet and
Ironhide aboard an Autobot shuttle destined for Earth which was attacked by
Megatron and a superior force of Decepticons.
Hot Rod: Hot Rod appeared in Transformers: The Movie, initially serving as a
companion to young Daniel. Kup served as Hot Rod’s built-in fencing device,
the former frequently coaching the latter on his impetuous ways and mild
disregard for rules and regulations. After surviving the scrabbling
Sharkticons and the misguided courtroom theatrics of the Quintessons, Hot
Rod eventually found himself inside one of Unicron’s digestive ducts. Here
he was serving as a punching bag for a pain-crazed Galvatron, just before
being chosen by the Matrix and upgraded into Rodimus Prime.
G2 Megatron (Purple Tank): Megatron ascended to power in the gladiatorial
pits of Cybertron, where he voiced contempt for Cybertron’s established
social structure. Here he began to amass a mixture of disillusioned,
credulous, and like-minded followers. Soon after, Megatron assembled his
Decepticon warriors, unleashing them against a planet largely unprepared for
an organized uprising. Gradually, Megatron’s renegade army became a brutal
manifestation of the tyranny which entirely consumed the Decepticon leader.
Though dedicated to the process of destroying the Autobots and scouring
Earth of its resources, Megatron yearns to return to Cybertron. Megatron is
equipped with a nuclear charged fusion cannon, and is capable of linking
with a black hole to generate anti-matter-based attacks.
Starscream: Starscream seizes each and every perceived opportunity, however
shallow or self-defeating, to claim command over the Decepticons. Finally,
during Transformers: The Movie, Starscream was convinced that his true time
had finally come when he jettisoned Megatron’s damaged body from an
in-flight Astrotrain. Shortly thereafter, when Megatron reaped vengeance in
the form of Galvatron, Starscream was atomized, only to realize later that
his mutant spark was immortal.
Skywarp: Skywarp is varyingly underhanded, and enjoys inflicting malignant
pranks on his fellow Decepticons as much as visiting ambush attacks on his
Autobot adversaries. He carries heat-seeking missiles and variable-caliber
machineguns. Skywarp is capable of achieving a speed of 1500 mph, though his
most impressive virtue is his ability to teleport up to 2.5 miles. However
the potential of this latter ability is hobbled by Skywarp’s lack of
imagination. In Transformers: The Movie, Skywarp was among a handful of
Decepticons that suffered debilitating damage during the Decepticons’ siege
of Autobot City.
Hound: Hound, colored in dark green with gold markings, serves as an Autobot
scout. Whereas many of his fellow Autobots experience bouts of homesickness
for Cybertron, Hound is content on Earth. Here he derives enjoyment from
interaction with all forms of life. Hound’s chassis and onboard equipment
are specifically designed to inflict minimal damage on whatever terrain he
traverses. His ability to produce holograms enables him to create
3-dimensional grid laser-light topographical maps. |
