It was eight years ago when Takara Tomy ushered in a line that would change
many things, a line that would be keeping EMS Japan Post busy for weeks, and a
line in which its toys would fit the name, Masterpiece. It started off with the
face of the Transformers franchise, Optimus Prime, and for many years it was the
standard for Transformers collecting - a hint at the technology to come. Now
once again our favorite leader of the Autobots has been remade, revolutionized,
and reborn as the tenth Masterpiece toy.
While the figure, it's price and the selection of character has met its plethora
of critics, there is no doubt that this toy will be 'that figure', and the
standard for many years to come.
